Yoga for People with Fibromyalgia Workshop
March 2, 2010
Saturday, March 27, 1:30-2:45pm
We’re offering a gentle yoga workshop for people with fibromyalgia.
You’ll stretch all the major muscle groups in a way that won’t induce a flare up. You’ll learn a stress-relieving meditation technique that you can use anytime at home or at work. You’ll also be guided through a progressive relaxation to let go of stress and help balance the nervous system.
Yoga is one of the most-recommended activities suggested for people with fibromyalgia. Anyone of any shape, size, or age can do yoga, and this workshop is perfect for beginners as well as people who haven’t exercised in a good while. The yoga practice will be very gentle, and can be modified for any body.
The fibromyalgia yoga workshop is facilitated by David Morgan, managing partner of New Moon Yoga LLC. David has been working with people with fibromyalgia in yoga workshops, classes, and private sessions for the past three years.
Vibrational healing and light healing touch may also be included in the workshop if time permits.
A fibromyalgia yoga CD may be available for purchase at the workshop, and you will have the opportunity to book private yoga and healing sessions at a discount.
The cost of the workshop is $15 for non-members, $10 for New Moon members.
Payment in full is required to hold your space. Please register by mailing a check to the studio or pay securely online with Paypal:
